EATEL, RTC and Vision Communications Announce Safety Precautions, Pledge to Keep Community Connected

As life goes online during the COVID-19 pandemic, EATEL, RTC and Vision Communications have announced safety precautions to protect their customers and employees. Starting today (Wednesday), the companies will close its seven service centers to walk-in customers for at least two weeks. These locations include Gonzales, Plaquemine, Larose, Reserve, Paulina, Thibodaux and Laplace.
All locations will have a dropbox available for check or money order and payments can also be made over the phone, online or by mail. In addition, Gonzales and Larose locations will have a drive-through available to all customers. No customers will be disconnected as a result of nonpayment during this time.
The companies have announced that they will follow guidance and initiatives aimed to keep customers connected to vital services. These initiatives include the Louisiana Public Service Commission's COVID-19 Executive Order as well as the Keep America Connected Pledge, an initiative unveiled by the Federal Communications Commission in an attempt to ensure that everyone across the nation has reliable broadband and telephone connectivity during these uncertain times.
As a critical service provider to local communities, the companies pledged, for the next 60 days, not to terminate any services to residential or small business customers who can’t pay their bills due to complications from the pandemic.
